Calm, beautiful big blue long rollers greeted the four of us. Graham joined us in Penzance, and we headed South. We motored all the way as the wind was on holiday too. We saw dolphins, whales, ate and slept and did watches. We talked and talked and ate and slept some more. The night sky is amazing on passage, sunsets and sunrise fill your soul with the wondrous beauty of life.
We did stop on Archie’s request to go swimming in 5000m depth water. Finn and Graham said no, both having very good reasons for not wanting to go. So, trying to be a good mummy, I said sure. I went in with him on condition he and I were each tied to a line the boys on deck always had hold of. I went in first. I wished I hadn’t gone in. It is beyond scary, I couldn’t let go of the ladder, started crying, laughing and basically had a total panic! Archie, the water nymph that he is, glided into the water and loved it. I, meanwhile, am calling mummy again and panting. It was hilarious, exhilarating, frightening and just silly. The waters were clear, soft, and warm.

Hahhahahaaaa what a laugh you gave me while reading about your experience in the deep deep waters, only wished I had been there to cheer you on, so proud of you both for taking that leap into the unknown…scarry as hell just thinking about it. That place sounds fantastic sis 😍 can’t wait to read what happened next on you travels. Hugs to your little aqua boy.
