Inverness to the West Coast and Dublin

We have now begun our adventure! Already been to so many places. First, we went through the canals with Granny Fran and Grandad. Then we went to Oban, Loch Aline, Tobermory and Colonsay on our way to Dublin where we are visiting Grainne and Kieran.

We have seen some amazing boats, i have done a night watch and I didn’t touch land for five whole days from Tobermoray to Dublin.

One of my favourite things to do is fishing. I went fishing with Graham and we caught 4 mackerel which we had for breakfast. I did not enjoy it when we had to go to into Dublin harbour with tankers coming in at the same time.

I am looking forward to crossing the Bay of Biscay.

arrived in Dublin

  1. wow Archie, what a great report. Loving the pics of all the boats. Dublin Harbour sounds a little nerve wracking eek…..but you’re ready now for the big BofB! Wonder what kinds of fish you’ll catch as you move into warmer waters??

  2. Well done Archie … what a start to your adventure. … Night watch and catching mackeral !!! Where they as big as the trout you nearly landed during the canal trip.??
Hopefully there won’t be too many nearby tankers when you are sailing the Bay of biscay! Exciting times ! Love granda and granny Fran xx
