St Lucia, Caribbean

Saying goodbye to Bequia was hard, we really loved it. But we were very excited, as St Lucia was where we picked up Shona and Alastair, the first of our guests to join our adventure. What a jungle, so verdant and full. We took up a mooring ball in the very stunning Marigot Bay. It was lovely having family around again and they brought us the best gift ever, mosquito nets! We had given the mosquitos quite a lot of blood by then.

Leaving Marigot we headed South again to Soufriere and the Pitons. The reclusive and stunning Sugar Beach is where we pick up a mooring ball and spent the day snorkeling and swimming. We met another boat family and they invited Archie to watch a Film.

The night turned out to be extremely wild and windy with winds in excess of 45knots. When the time came for the boys to return, Finn notice our dinghy had flipped and the engine got salted. This meant they could not leave and because it was so windy it was not safe to row. The rest of us spent the night with the engine on, watching our position because the mooring ball we picked up was not reliable (info on Navily website). But thankfully it held all night and the boys with our dinghy were safely delivered the next morning. We are so grateful for the occupants on JUNE.

Next we sailed to Rodney Bay and relaxed in the marina. The Friday night we partied at the Gros Islet street party.

Hugs to all!
